Dear Parents,

I am writing to let you know that a student in 10th grade may have a case of A (H1N1), (now generally known as influenza A). The student saw a doctor on Tuesday and is already much improved. He has not been tested for influenza A, as this is not the practice in Denmark ; only those in high risk groups are laboratory tested. When grade 10 were told this morning, a good number of them said they had already experienced the same symptoms over the past two weeks.


We are monitoring the situation. It is a time for vigilance but not alarm. Please remind children of the hygiene practices we sent out, which greatly reduce the risk of infection and please do not send children to school if they have even mild flu symptoms.
