Jangan salah sangka yea... Ni bukan Open House Raya... Owh tidaks sama sekali... ;-) raya lambat lagi lor... Tunggu rayalah yea aku akan suka suki mengOPEN HOUSE kan rumahku syurgaku ni... Hehehe...

Actually arini ada Open House for Primary 1 (1B & 1S) at CIS... They had been working in groups on the given projects based on the subject: 'Then & Now' since a few weeks back...

Aiman and his fellow groupmates, Simon, Roi & Kaj were assigned on 'Then & Now: Playground Games'... No doubt that during the past weeks, all of them were extremely busy at skul and at home preparing for this and that... Bizi ngalahkan org keja opis! Hehehe...



They had put so much efforts and worked hard to gather all the info and as much materials as possible on the games that each one of them had chosen...






And today, all groups were given the chances to present to the audience (parents & teachers) what they had learnt and prepared for their particular assignments...


It was surely a GREAT experience to all parents to learn from our kids about what we have NOW and it was definitely AMAZING to see some of the 'THEN' exhibits being put up by the kids during the open house...






It was like walking down the sweet memory lane and refreshing our childhood memories.... Not only that, the best part was we (the parents) had given the chance to get involved with the kids during their presentation... Memang BEST lah!






One of the things yang aku suka cara belajar kat sini sebab lebih interactive... Kids learn as they experience... They experience as they explore... They explore as they digest... They digest as they learn... And the cycle goes on and on... Cara belajar kat sini lebih kepada understanding the theory and then knowing the technique/practical part...






And they are always given the proper platform; for them to expose, express and share the knowledge they had learnt through out the semester with the parents during the presentations, conferences as well as open house...









These are the approaches that have been practised in CIS for the Primary Years apart from the normal education system which stresses more on using text books, exams etc... Of cos ada pro and cons... Tapi so far aku puas hati dengan apa yang aku tengok dan dengar since aiman skolah kat sini...



Seriously speaking, to some extend aku rasa apa yang aiman belajar sekarang lagi practical dari apa yang aku pernah belajar when i was at his age... ;-)
